The Detective Game is one of the most engaging language games in a Montessori primary classroom. It aims to emphasize the function of adjectives. The Detective Game consists of 60+ triangles that differ in shape (isosceles, scalene, equilateral), color (blue, red, yellow), and size (small, medium, large). Based on the characteristics of the triangles, children are asked to guess a selected triangle by the process of elimination. The guide intentionally disseminates information in pieces to ensure the child understands that using adjectives is crucial.
Add the Detective Game Task Cards to the learning experience to ensure knowledge retention through repetition. Our Task Cards include the labels needed for the initial presentation: the, triangle, red, blue, yellow, small, medium, large, scalene, isosceles, equilateral, acute-angled, obtuse-angled, and right-angled. They also include 63 Task Cards that contain commands such as: "Find the large blue right-angled scalene triangle," which can be used in a small group of learners or individually.
