Peg piece immediately came off upon opening the box. The weight and construction of this, compared to the rings on a vertical dowel, is very different; even the finish/coloring is different.

I love this toy because it's a little more challenging to put the rings on horizontally vs vertically. I did notice that the peg coming out horizontally from the base was slightly off center. I didn't open the box when I was at the shop otherwise I would have asked for a different one. It's only slightly off center which is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5. But I still love the toy.
