Session 1: Beginning Botany!

This workshop will provide ideas and materials for introducing the 2 to 6 year old to the wondrous world of botany. Participants will work with nature table exercises, the botany cabinet and the leaf cabinet, and will be shown further exercises for each. Life cycles of plants and simple botany experiments will also be introduced.

Session 2: Beautiful botany!

In this workshop, participants will explore the botany knowledge and concepts to be enticingly introduced to the 6 to 9 year old. Charts and experiments for the needs of plants, functions of plant parts and types of leaves, roots and flowers will be introduced.

*Five hours of professional development training certificates will be awarded at the end of the workshop.
